Happy Memorial Day!

I'm always thankful for our military and all they do but on special holidays, like today, it's nice to give a extra special thanks to them all. So while you're enjoying your day send a little prayer out for all those who keep us free!

We spent our day celebrating my Grandmas 84th birthday. Including bbq-ing, swimming and lots of Apples to Apples. Poncho showed up ready to party!

Snuggle...

Right now all I want to do is snuggle with my little baby guy:

How can I resist that face?!?!

So my scrap room redo it in full swing! It's so much work but coming together. Everything feels like it's taking a long time because we are making it from scratch. Jeff has built and installed cabinets and I've been painting them. Hopefully tonight will be the last night of painting! I'm making a note to take photos along the way (I keep forgetting to). Tomorrow I should be able to share some progress pics :)

Poncho's Birthday

Last week was Poncho's birthday. I can't believe my little sugarplum is 7! We had a little impromptu birthday dinner for him. Luckily I already had a birthday hat for him :)

Happy Birthday Bubba!

Poncho Update

So my little baby guy has Pulmonary Hypertension.

(he fell asleep while standing up on the car ride home from the desert...too cute huh?)

This explains why his heart was enlarged and why he was having trouble breathing. The good news is it can be controlled with a pill everyday. And the funny part is they prescribed him Cialis (haha yes you've seen the commercials). I guess it's original reason for being made was to control pulmonary hypertension. Go figure :)

Happy March!

March really????

Last weekend was so super stressful. My poor little baby guy, Poncho, had to go to the emergency vet. He was having trouble breathing. Long story short, he stayed the night there on oxygen, has pneumonia, an inflamed heart and it has fluid around it. The fluid is most likely what caused the pneumonia. We go in this week for an ultra sound of his heart to see whats going on in there. The good news is he's home now with full energy.

Ok Gen, Ann-Marie and I are starting our weekly challenges again. It's a great way for us to get our creative juices flowing each week. Every Thursday we will post a challenge on our blog that the other girls will do. Each of us will post our take of the challenge on our own blogs.

I'm a little behind seeing I was going to post Thursday but was at the doggie er. Here's my take on Ann-Marie's challenge: The challenge was to get inspired by a music.

Gens Challenge was to use a non conventional scrap item on your layout. Here's my take:

The polka dot paper behind the photo is actually a tissue. I knew I had been collecting cute tissues for a reason :)
Thursday I post mine so check back girls to see what I have in store.

P.S. If someone other than Gen or Ann-Marie want to play along feel free! Just post a comment with a link to your take below.

Gotta love 1am blog posts

last night I couldn't sleep. So I figured why not stay up until I'm super tired then go to bed. And what better to do at 1am than update my blog. Here's a little project I've been working on.

Poncho just had to get in my picture (at least he's cute)

Before we got married Jeff used to drive to my house every morning and leave a note on my truck. It was SO sweet! Well I saved all of them and wanted to make something cute to put them in.

Busy bee...

This last week I have been in such a creative mood. I love it! Here are some of the layouts I have finished.

Here is my little wet guy...he is so mad at me right now for giving him a bath!

Oh I almost forgot...this week is my turn to do the challenge. OK girls here it is make a layout using only scraps and 1 piece of cardstock. Have fun!

Phew...

what a busy weekend! The sports bar Jeff has been working on for a year finally opened! It was so exciting to see it full of people. I am so proud of him it is a huge accomplishment in his career!

These are a few pics from the soft opening. Both our family's were there and we all had a good time! So Sunday Jeff got done early at work because he can't really work while they are open. He had no clue to do with himself! So what better to do than lie on the ground in the back yard!?!? Poncho was a little weired out by this and stood by him the whole time (see they love each other).

As soon as I got my camera and started to take a picture of Jeff sleeping Poncho had to jump right in on the action. He would not get out of the pictures, what a little ham! Well I hope all of you had a great weekend too!
