Connor

Yesterday morning at 8am Connor took his last breath. He was sleeping peacefully with his parents by his side. We are all so blessed to have so much love and support from our family and friends. His service will be later in the week.

I'm still in complete disbelief. There's no other way to describe it but completely surreal. Yesterday after they came and took him I just kept waiting for him to walk down the stairs and join us.

My sister Danielle and I are putting together scrapbooks for the wake. It's been great to look trough all the pictures of him and remember all the good times we had together. It's been hard, yet healing at the same time. He was loved by so many people and was a great brother.

Connor we will always miss and love you!

Cherie, I was completely shocked to read your blog about Connor's condition the other day. It is unbelievable. Cancer is so devastating, pervasive, and it does not discriminate. It takes the old, the young, the physically fit, the good, the bad, anyone and everyone; that's why it's so scary and unpredictable. I remember spending a weekend at your dad's place and Connor was a great kid. I am truly sorry for your loss. There is nothing else to say except: this sucks, and it hurts. I am glad you have your pictures that you can turn into beautiful memories of your brother--your scrap book pages of him will be family treasures for years to come and that's a great gift you can give to your family and Connor. Sending you a BIG HUG, Melody.

Melody thank you so much! It's so funny when we were going through pictures this weekend we found some of you up there. I think it was the Eater egg hunt. Scrapbooking will help heal my heart :)

Cherie,

I was just thinking of you today. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know the pain you are going through. When my father passed away, it just didn't seem real either. You will be in my prayers. If you ever need someone to talk to, please call me. It was so great to meet you at Reflections; you are so sweet. Take care. Sending you a hug :)
