Thanksgiving + Turning 29

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your feasts out there today. Soon I'll be heading over to my Moms for an evening full of food, fun and maybe just a little chaos. That's what the holidays are for right?

Well today is not only Thanksgiving but it also my birthday. Today I turn 29...eek! How can I possibly be twenty nine already?!?!? As I was thinking about turning another year older and only one year away from thirty I started freaking out a little. When I was younger I would think 'oh by the time I'm thirty I'll have it all figured out' no this is not the case. And I'm sure over the next year that will not happen either. However I did realize one thing, instead of being sad about getting older and not accomplishing everything I thought I should have done by this time. I should be thankful to be having another birthday. Not everyone gets the chance to turn twenty nine. So today I am feeling blessed. Blessed to be a year older, blessed to have such a supportive husband and family, and blessed for this great life I have.

May God bless each one of you this Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving week

Last week seems like it was so long ago and at the same time like Thanksgiving hasn't passed yet. How is that possible? It was jam packed full of work and fun! Here are some of the highlights:
My last picture being 27...haha not a very good one, it was super late!
Christmas card photo shoot (more to come!)
Thanksgiving at our house with our thankful sign
Up close of Jeff's sign...he's so silly!
The weeks other festivities included 3 birthday dinners, bowling with my family, thanksgiving at my inlaws, and a all night shopping extravaganza! Now to get it all in my Thankful album :)

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

One more day

Just one more day until December! I'm super excited to get started on my December daily album. I remember last year loving it. The process that worked best for me was everyday writing down what I had done that day and what stories I wanted to share. After that I printed out my pictures. If had time that night I added them to the book otherwise I had everything ready so I could add them easily the next day.

Being thankful

Sometimes it's hard to be thankful. After losing my brother in May and my Aunt in September I try everyday to be thankful for all I have. It has made me realize how short life is and how fast it can pass. I miss them tremendously. Connor (my brother) was way too young. He brought so much joy to our family. I do have to say that through his illness it has brought our family closer, and for that I am thankful.

I am thankful for my nephew, who constantly cracks everyone up. And who at Thanksgiving dinner, while I was praying, yelled out "Auntie Cherie" (in his most monster like voice). It has keep us laughing all weekend.

I am thankful for the moments we shared. Just hanging out, being goofy, and laughing.

So remember to make sure all the people you love know it. Spend time with them and take lots of pictures ☺ You never know how things may change.

So Thankful

The holidays are the best! Even with all the drama and chaos of family. That makes it more interesting :) Since Thanksgiving was on the 26th I thought why not list 26 things I'm thankful for. So here they are:

1. God
2. Being married to my soul mate
3. Our wonderful family
4. The best friends ever
5. Glitter (it makes me happy)
6. My crazy little pup, Poncho
7. November beach days
8. A house to live in
9. Scrapbooking
10. Food
11. My job
12. Christmas
13. Flowers
14. Shopping
15. My health
16. Music
17. Growing up with sisters (their built in playmates)
18. The internet
19. Candles
20. The color pink
21. A working car
22. Shoes
23. Laughter
24. Target
25. Starbucks
26. Endless possibilities

Every time I’m having a bad day or things aren’t going my way I have to stop and remind myself that I am blessed with so much. Life’s never fair but we get over it and move on. That in it’s self is something to be thankful for. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and that you ate some great food!
