Valentine's day

So I thought I had set up this post to automatically post on Wednesday but I came on her and nope. All I did was save it. So here it is some pics of the 'valentne expostion' I had mentioned in the last post.

This is our fort. Now I totally remember why I loved forts as a kid. It's so cozy! We ate our pizza and enjoyed our fondue in our fort. It was right next to the fireplace so we stayed warm while watching our fave show, The Big Bang Theory.

I printed out my favorite pictures of us from the whole time we've been together and used them to decorate the house with. It was fun looking at them and reminiscing about the last 10 years.

This was the first time I made chocolate fondue at home and let me tell you it was SO delicious.

Thanksgiving week

Last week seems like it was so long ago and at the same time like Thanksgiving hasn't passed yet. How is that possible? It was jam packed full of work and fun! Here are some of the highlights:

Thankful album & My loves bday

Hi all! Hope you had a great weekend! We spent this rainy weekend with family and friends celebrating my husbands 30th birthday. How is possible that I'm married to a 30 year old? Man how time flies! We were in our teens when we met. Love him!

When we weren't partying it up I was able to squeak in making this Thankful mini album. Love those Amy Tan leaves! I made the covers out of wood and sprayed them with glimmer mist. You can get your very own album here.

7 year itch

On July 31st Jeff and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. In honor of that we had a 7 year itch party. Complete with back scratchers and all. It was such a fun night with our closest friends and family. I still can't believe we have been married for 7 years. When I tell people that it just doesn't seem possible. I still feel like I'm 18 straight out of high school. I wish life would just slow down a little. Ok back to the party :)

Mothers Day Decor

This year I am hosting a Mothers Day brunch at my house. I can't wait! Here are some sneaks of a few things I made yesterday for the party:

Halloween love

Ahh yes I love Halloween! It's my second fave holiday (Christmas being the first of course). This past weekend I had a Halloween party at my house. It was super fun! I was supposed to be Snow White but thanks to party cities slow shipping it didn't arrive when it was supposed to so I had to improvise. Instead I was a Pretty Pretty Princess...do you remember that game? My sisters and I loved it! I just wore this silver dress I had from Anthro and sewed the pink sparkly tulle to make a skirt. It worked out perfectly and I wish I would have thought of it sooner (thanks Megan for the idea!).



One discovery I made this weekend...I'm in love with carmel apple martinis!!! They are SO yummy and so easy to make. Here's the recipe:

1 part vodka
2 parts apple schnapps
2 parts butterscotch schnapps
Shake it in a shaker with ice and tada! I also filled my glass with ice to dilute it a bit because they are pretty sweet.

Thankful

Today I am feeling very thankful for everything I have in my life. This past weekend an old neighbor of mine lost her husband. My heart is broken for her and their 2 boys. I can't even imagine how hard it is for her right now.

It makes me realize how fast things can change and that no matter if we're having a bad day or even PMS ;) we need to appreciate everyday we have with or loved ones!

Last week was Poncho's birthday. I can't believe my little sugarplum is 7! We had a little impromptu birthday dinner for him. Luckily I already had a birthday hat for him :)

I ♥ Tea

Yesterday I had a Cupcake Par-Tea at my house. There was no occasion. One day I was watching reruns of The Office, it was the one when Toby, Pam and Oscar talked about the "Finer Things Club". They were having tea so I thought to my-self "I should have a tea party". From there it became like a hobby. Shopping all over town going to thrift and antique shops collecting all the pieces. Finally it came altogether. We had a blast and I am obsessed with tea. My fave is ginger peach...yum!






I can't wait to do it again for Mother's Day!!!

La la la la la

So I just got super excited, you know why? Because Christmas is coming so soon!!!! It's my fave. Fall in wonderful but Christmas is just magical!

Today I spent the day with one of my best friends Alessandra. We went to the Vintage Vixens and saw some amazing stuff. There was a lady there, Paris Montana, who had some amazing, chunky, glittery, and fun jewelry. It was pretty heavenly! I wanted to buy her whole trailer! We had a blast!

Last weekend was one of my other best friends, Megan's black and Orange Halloween party. It was super fun! I love themed parties :)




Tonight is another fun Halloween party. All the food is pumpkin! I will take pics and post them soon. Have a great weekend!
